While you are waiting for tomorrow go ahead and head over to our Bendix Woods Time Trial page and register for the race on Sunday.

It looks like a perfect day for a mountain bike race, sunny and cool.

Come out and race for a medal!

Weekly Club Time Trials start now!

Looks like tonight will be a great night for our first Wednesday night time trial.  The first two weeks we will be at Bendix Woods in preparation for our first official time trial on May 12th. This is a great opportunity to recon the course for that extra edge on race day.Top speed is not your goal? Come out and have a nice ride on our newest trail just for the fun of it. For NIMBA members the cost for the ride and camaraderie is always free.

Wednesday Weather

Registration begins at 6:15PM  and the first rider starts at 6:45PM followed by others at one minute intervals.

We spend two weeks at each trail, the time trial is always a single lap, the most improved time between the 2 weeks gets a Hacienda gift card.

Do women have a chance to win the most improved? Ask Marcel.

Why is it called a “Club Time Trial”? The time trial is open for current NIMBA members only, we need to do this because of insurance. Not a 2013 NIMBA member? Don’t worry, you can join NIMBA online or at any of the time trials.

How much does it cost each week? It’s free for members!

What a great way to kickoff National Bike Month… we had 17 people ride in the first Wednesday night club time trial for 2013 at Bendix Woods last night. Great weather and a lot of fun. Whomever improves there time the most next week wins a $10 hacienda gift card Results BW_Weekly TT 5-1-13

We have workdays scheduled through the end of May.  Bonneyville Mill  is less than 10 minutes from the Bristol Toll Road exit so it is easy to get to from all of Michiana and there are workdays scheduled on both Saturdays and Sundays, so find a day and come out and help us. The more volunteers the sooner the trail gets completed.

NIMBA jerseys are officially for sale!

Become part of Team NIMBA and show your NIMBA colors on the trail and at races.

This fully custom jersey starts with the Primal Urban Jersey . The Loose Fit Urban jersey is a hybrid cycling garment that crosses into lifestyle apparel without losing any technical characteristics. Comfortable on or off the bike, this jersey features a half length zipper, zippered rear pocket, and tagless neck label.

Here’s the important information.  Each jersey costs $60, tax and shipping is included in that price.  Primal donates $10 of each jersey sale back to NIMBA and $1 to IMBA.
This is a great opportunity for us to make some money for the club.  Get out there and sell some jerseys!

The initial order period will run for 4 weeks.  We must have a minimum of 15 orders for Primal to begin running them.  We’re going to see how many we can get in 4 weeks.  If someone misses the boat on the initial 15, they run the risk of not getting a jersey, because a 2nd run again requires another minimum of 15.  We’ll shoot for Wednesday April 10th as our initial order date.

The order form is set up to be printed, filled out, and mailed with a check.  No jersey will be ordered without payment. An online team store isn’t feasible because Primal will only allow it to stay open for 2 weeks and the cost of each jersey goes up by $10.  Pooling the orders and shipping them all to us when they’re finished keeps the cost down and allows us all the time we need.

The maximum time to receive a jersey order from the day it is placed is 10 weeks.  It could happen faster, but that’s the typical timeframe.  Let’s get the orders in to me so we can get our initial order placed on time to get the jerseys on the backs of riders for the majority of the season!

Grab the order form here >  NIMBA Jersey Order Form  and place your order ASAP!

Bendix Woods Spring Trail Maintenance Day

It’s snowing today, but chances are that on Sunday March 10th from 10am-1pm we will be able to clean up the Mountain Bike Trail at Bendix Woods. We will be clearing debris and downed trees from the trail so we can start riding it again. If we have time, we will also do some smoothing of the new section of the trail.

We will park the NIMBA trailer at the Deneve Shelter area. We have gloves, water, cliff bars and all the tools we need. We will also fire up the grill for some hot dogs.

January 2013

Welcome to the rebuilt NIMBA website.   We will continue to rollout new pages and revise existing ones on the website throughout the first half of 2013.  We have also decided to retire the website and move the NIMBA series race information onto the NIMBA website.

We will continue to use the NIMBA Facebook page as the forum/discussion site for NIMBA and mountain biking in general.  The Facebook page will also be the place to find the most recent updates on NIMBA and the trails.  A link to the Facebook page is found on the right hand side of the screen

As usual NIMBA has a full plate of projects and activities planned on 2013.  The NIMBA race series, Wednesday Night Club Time Trials, building the trail at Bonneyville Mill Park, NIMBA Jerseys, the Memorial Day Parade, Intro to Mountain Biking classes, a picnic, the fall campout, trail workdays and many more events and projects.   We look to the riders in our community to support or efforts by joining NIMBA and volunteering as they have time to assist us.  If you have any questions or comments for NIMBA, send us an email at nimba-bike[at]
