NIMBA Board Changes

As 2015 comes to a close I have completed my fourth year as President of NIMBA.  I have decided that four years was the right amount of time for me to lead this growing and dynamic group.

When I became President of NIMBA I was ill prepared to lead the group; I had not met any of the land managers, did not know any shop owners and did not know many members.   I appreciate the patience our members have shown as I went through my on the job training.  We have accomplished a lot as a club over the last 4 years.   I feel it is important for groups like NIMBA to periodically have new leadership to keep the group moving forward and I believe that your board is as strong as it has ever been.

With my resignation as President, Matt Flournoy, the Vice President, assumes the role of President.  I have agreed to continue to serve NIMBA in one of the at large board positions.  Greg Furry is now the Vice President, Tim Koscher is now the Secretary, Jay Corban is the Treasurer and Jody Jernigan is the Race Director.   We still have open positions on the board that Matt will be working to fill.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to lead the group over the last 4 years and I am pleased that we have Matt leading NIMBA into the future.

CANCELED Potato Creek Trail Workday 11-21-15 9AM to 1PM

We will using a load of clay to address several sandy spots on the trail and will use anything left over to work on some berms.  Bring some gloves, we have the tools  and will provide lunch for the volunteers.

Meet at the Peppermint Hill Shelter parking lot at 9AM.  Bring your bike to ride afterwards.  If you do not have a pass for the park, let the gate attendant know that you are coming for a NIMBA Mountain Bike Trail workday.

Bonneyville Mill Workday 10-31 update

With the running race on Saturday morning, parking will be tight.  The park will open the overflow parking at the Briar Patch shelter.  We will meet at the trailer, the  “T” in the picture, at 9AM.   If you come out later in the morning we will be working at two places. #1 in the picture is the re route and #2 is the turn armoring.
