The Bonneyville Mill Trail flagging has been completed and the Elkhart County Parks And Recreation Department has approved the layout. The ground breaking workday has been scheduled for Sunday April 7. The Ground Breaking Ceremony is at 9AM at the Briarpatch Shelter. If you are planning on working on the trail on Sunday we will be having a mandatory tool training class provided by the Elkhart County Parks and Recreation Department at 10AM.
After the training we will have lunch and work on the trail. Come out and join us. As with all NIMBA workdays we will have the tools you need to help us build the trail. To see a planning map of the trail check out the trail page.
We plan on having weekly trail build days at Bonneyvillle Mill this spring. Watch the Facebook Page and the NIMBA Website workdays page for future workdays. If you miss the tool training on Sunday April 7, we will provide the training for you at each of the workdays.
Come out and talk Mountain Biking with us.
Don’t forget about the new NIMBA jerseys. Get yours today!
Become part of Team NIMBA and show your NIMBA colors on the trail and at races.
This fully custom jersey starts with the Primal Urban Jersey . The Loose Fit Urban jersey is a hybrid cycling garment that crosses into lifestyle apparel without losing any technical characteristics. Comfortable on or off the bike, this jersey features a half length zipper, zippered rear pocket, and tagless neck label.
Here’s the important information. Each jersey costs $60, tax and shipping is included in that price. Primal donates $10 of each jersey sale back to NIMBA and $1 to IMBA.
This is a great opportunity for us to make some money for the club. Get out there and sell some jerseys!
The initial order period will run for 4 weeks. We must have a minimum of 15 orders for Primal to begin running them. We’re going to see how many we can get in 4 weeks. If someone misses the boat on the initial 15, they run the risk of not getting a jersey, because a 2nd run again requires another minimum of 15. We’ll shoot for Wednesday April 10th as our initial order date.
The order form is set up to be printed, filled out, and mailed with a check. No jersey will be ordered without payment. An online team store isn’t feasible because Primal will only allow it to stay open for 2 weeks and the cost of each jersey goes up by $10. Pooling the orders and shipping them all to us when they’re finished keeps the cost down and allows us all the time we need.
The maximum time to receive a jersey order from the day it is placed is 10 weeks. It could happen faster, but that’s the typical timeframe. Let’s get the orders in to me so we can get our initial order placed on time to get the jerseys on the backs of riders for the majority of the season!
Grab the order form here > NIMBA Jersey Order Form and place your order ASAP!
It’s snowing today, but chances are that on

Welcome to the rebuilt NIMBA website. We will continue to rollout new pages and revise existing ones on the website throughout the first half of 2013. We have also decided to retire the nimbaseries.org website and move the NIMBA series race information onto the NIMBA website.
We will continue to use the NIMBA Facebook page as the forum/discussion site for NIMBA and mountain biking in general. The Facebook page will also be the place to find the most recent updates on NIMBA and the trails. A link to the Facebook page is found on the right hand side of the screen
As usual NIMBA has a full plate of projects and activities planned on 2013. The NIMBA race series, Wednesday Night Club Time Trials, building the trail at Bonneyville Mill Park, NIMBA Jerseys, the Memorial Day Parade, Intro to Mountain Biking classes, a picnic, the fall campout, trail workdays and many more events and projects. We look to the riders in our community to support or efforts by joining NIMBA and volunteering as they have time to assist us. If you have any questions or comments for NIMBA, send us an email at nimba-bike[at]gmail.com.
Now that the website is updated we will be making an effort to keep it up to date with the latest news about racing, trails days and all things NIMBA. To join the NIMBA conversation check out our FaceBook page. You will find out the latest trail conditions, group rides and bike parts for sale.
Can’t stand Facebook and don’t have a smart phone but still want to stay up on the latest NIMBA news? Follow NIMBA on Twitter. We will be posting to twitter all the late breaking NIMBA news. Set your Twitter account to get sms messages and you will be the first to know.
If you look on any of the new local trail pages you will notice Strava segments for each trail. These segments will help new riders determine how long it will take to ride each trail or trail segment. Segments will also let you see how fast the really fast guys and gals ride each trail. Strava is a great way to track your progress as you improve your mountain biking skills. You can race against yourself or others virtually. See if you can knock the top guy or gal off the podium and become the king or queen of the mountain.
I have created a NIMBA Strava club that will let you find other NIMBA members on Strava. It is free to join and you can be a part of multiple clubs. Join now I am getting lonely. Click here to see how Strava works. Basic requirements are a smart phone (iPhone or Android) or some sort of Garmin device. If you have a Garmin you can upload your old data to see how you stack up without even braving the cold.
